Kelo-cote was developed by Advanced Bio-Technologies, Inc., and is designed specifically for the treatment and prevention of sensitive, painful, and widespread scars. Kelo-cote spray’s unique delivery system allows a lightweight, self-drying silicone gel, to be applied without touching or rubbing. The scar gel spray rapidly dries to form a breathable, flexible, waterproof silicone gel that binds to the top layer of the skin. This “extra layer” of skin ensures that treatment is delivered 24 hours a day. The spray can be applied to joints, hairy areas, flexures, and large area scars such as those caused from pregnancy, burns, or major trauma. Kelo-cote scar gel spray will flatten, smooth, and soften scars, relieving the discomfort and itching as well as reducing the discoloration associated with scars. Kelo-cote scar gel spray comes in the following 2 sizes: 50ml spray (suitable for treatment of scars 2.375 – 2.5 inch / 6 -6.5 cm) and 100ml spray (suitable for treatment of scars 4.75 – 5.0 inch / 12 – 13 cm). Instructions
Ensure that the affected area is clean and dry. Shake can well before use. Remove the cap from the can and spray along the length of the scar in a sweeping motion. Kelo-cote spray should be applied in a very thin, even coating with no gaps or holes on the affected area. Allow the gel to air dry before covering with sun block, makeup, or garments. Recommended duration of treatment is 60 to 90 days.

Scars are more sensitive than the normal skin and will be more easily affected by sunburns. The better a scar is cared for; the less visible it will be after the healing process is complete. So, be sure to cover up and wear sun block.
